waverly anne smith
DO THE HELEN KELLER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS
"Well, my name is Waverly Anne Smith. Honestly, there's no story behind it. My mother just enjoys obscure names for children. She really doesn't like the normal names like Kate or Sarah. My dad, on the other hand, wanted a normal name, so he settled for Anne as my middle name. My last name was given to be at birth, obviously. Hopefully, my last name will change when I get married when I'm older. I'm not quite ready for it to change yet. I do have a nickname though and that's Wave. All of my friends call me that, so feel free to call me that as well."
AWESOME! SO ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE? OR SOMETHING ELSE? YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE NOWADAYS..
"Obviously I'm female, but honestly, you can never be to sure. The other day, I saw a picture of a person and I thought it was a guy, but apparently it was a woman. You would have never guessed."
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
"I'm sixteen years old as of July 22nd. Right now that means I'm a junior in high school. It's pretty sweet as far as I'm concerned. I can drive, I can go wherever, and I don't have a curfew. Having less restrictions is a lot more fun than how life used to be. There are a lot more responsibilities though."
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
"I'm originally from Dallas, Texas, but I moved into Las Angeles because of Mackinzie Falls. I was pick up on some casting call they has around the nation and I happened to get called back and casted into the show. It's totally rare for a complete unknown to be casted into Mackinzie Falls, but I guess I was an acception. They said they liked my look. I hope it was in a good way though. I'm extremly southern and I look completely different than all of the other girls in the cast, let's hope they wanted that contrast when they picked me. I miss home a lot though, but I have my dog here in L.A. to keep me company."
NOW MOVING ONTO WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. HOW TALL ARE YOU, AND IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING, HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
"I'm about average height. Last time I checked I think I was five feet and six inches. I have really long legs though, so it might look different on the outside. I weigh about one hundred and ten pounds. I'm pretty average all around. Not too fat, not too skinny. I'm just right."
WHAT GENDER ARE YOU MOSTLY INTO: GUYS, GIRLS OR BOTH?
"I'm most definately into guys, no douby in my mind. I have never liked a girl more than a friend, but what you asked in a viable question. These days you can't really trust your 'gaydar' to tell you who is what."
WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?
"Obviously I'm pretty good at acting, otherwise I wouldn't have landed a spot on one of America's favorite telivision dramas, but I'm pretty good at other things too. Some of my friends back home say that I'm an extremely loyal and sweet girl. I'm pretty much like a little puppy, if you treat me kindly, I'll love you right back. I'm not usually one to hold grudge-like feelings towards anyone, even though tradition of Makenzie Falls says we're supposed to hate the So Random cast. I don't see why we have to though, they seem sweet enough. I'm also pretty good at music and other things like that. I enjoy playing guitar in my free time and writing lyrics is a great way for me to express the emotions I have to hide all day on set. Can't have an over dramatic actress now can we? Actually...nevermind...I'm on a TV drama."
COOL. WHAT ARE YOU NOT SO GOOD AT?
"I'm not good at paying attention. I swear, if I were a mental disease, I would be ADD. I can't listen to one person without having to zone in on the converstation that's going on three feet away from me. While, it's not that bad, it still gets on a lot of people's nerves. I'm not good at keeping my legs still either. I'm always walking around, crossing and uncrossing my legs, and tapping my feet on the ground. I'm not very good at academic subject either. It's a good thing we have an on the set tutor, so they can focus in on the things that are harder on me, like math, and pound it into my brain until I get A's."
AWW, THAT SUCKS. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?"
"I like a lot of things. First of all, I like my job. Being an actress is the best job anyone could possible ask for. It's one of my favorite things about my everyday life. I meet so many new people and fans and everyone is just so great to me. Sometimes, I could deal without the paparazzi that surrounds the shows, but they're fine if you know how to handle them. I also like my guitar. My guitar is my baby, I've named him Gerard. Yes, my guitar has a name. Is it that weird? It just makes me feel closer to the music, ya know? I like food a lot too, specifically asian and italian food. Nothing is better that some sesame chicken for lunch and cheese manacotti for dinner. Oh, now I'm hungry."
I LIKE SOME OF THOSE THINGS TOO! WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE?
"I don't really like the rivalry going on between So Random and Makenzie Falls. While, it's only natural that there would be some friendly competition between the two shows, it's elivated to something much worse than what it should be. People should be doing all of these stupid things to get back at another show. It's just goofy, not to mention rediculous. I also don't like when people touch my guitar. Gerard only likes me, so don't think of playing him. He will bite. I'm not kidding. I also don't like sharing drinks with people. It's a pet peeve of mine when someone takes a drink from me without asking. Then I have to be all dramatic and explain to them how I don't enjoy their backwash in my drinks. Seriously, it's a health violation."
I SEE. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU FEAR?
"I'm terrified of the dark. I know I should be a big girl and suck it up, but I always hide my head whenever a room does pitch black. You never know what's hiding in the corner!"
WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE, DO YOU HAVE ANY HOPES AND DREAMS?"
"I hope I can make it onto the big screen. Being on the silver screen is alright, for now, but I would like something bigger and better. I want to be know as a great actress, not just a washed up teen star who hit her prime when she was sixteen. I would hate that."
GOOD LUCK WITH THOSE! OKAY, SO I LIKE ABIT OF GOSSIP. DO YOU HAVE ANY SECRETS? I WON'T TELL ANYONE.
"Secrets? Now, would they be secrets if I told you?"
WOW. TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY. I WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LIKE AS A PERSON.
"It's hard to describe yourself, but I'll try. Umm, people usualy compliment me on my kindness. I hate fighting and I love when people get along, so I'll typically use my kindness to get everyone together. I'm a pacifist in a way becaus I don't like argument. I do understand that sometimes, someone just needs to be smacked. It's a necessary part of life to get angry, I choose not to act on it. I'm usually treaded on by other people because I give and give and give. I never recieve back, but I never want anything back. Giving out a smile to someone else is what I live for. I could care less whether I was given back in return. I'm effected a lot by the emotions of people around me. If a friend is upset, I naturally become upset as well. I'm a pretty sensitive girl and I can tell how others feel."
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A BOYFRIEND?
"Mainly a nice personality. The first thing I see in a guy is usualy the eyes. They say that they eyes are the windows to the soul. I love that saying because it's so true. You can tell if a guy is a jerk or a cheater from the frist time they lay eyes on a girl. If they have that gleam that simply says, she's pretty and I'm curious, you know you've found a good guy. I also love a die-hard romantic. I'm a typical girly-girl when it comes to love and I adore getting a single rose and maybe a stuffed animal. I love a nurturing guy too. If your sick and he brings coffee or soup, he's a keeper."
WELL I GUESS THAT PUTS ME OUT OF THE RUNNING. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE IN A BOYFRIEND?
"I hate a jerk who thinks he's the coolest thing since sliced bread. Honestly, a guy can't get anywhere if he thinks that every girl likes him. Take Chad Dylan Cooper for example. He would totally have every girl head over heels if he was like his Makenzie Falls character, but instead as soon as the camera is off, he changes into a ladies man. I absolutely hate that. Also, someone who is inconsiderate bothers me."
OKAY, WELL I'M GOING TO ASK WHAT SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITES ARE NOW, OKAY?
"Sounds awesome! I love giving out this stuff."
FAVOURITE FOOD & DRINK?
"I absolutely adore sushi. Asian food is my favorite. God bless the asians. Also, I crave a cold Red Bull at every moment of my existance, even in the dead of winter."
FAVOURITE MOVIE & TV SHOW?
"I love scary movies, but I can't pick one to say is my favorite. I love superhero movies too. Ironman has to be my favorite for that. As for television shows, don't tell my cast mates, but I adore So Random. It's so funny, I'm obsessed."
FAVOURITE BAND/SINGER?
"Fall Out Boy is pretty beastly. They've never dissappointed me with a single album."
FAVOURITE COLOUR?
"Purple, hands down. It's so expressive and dramatic. Everyone notices someone in purple. I mean, I hardly ever wear it, but it's an amazing color."
FAVOURITE LYRIC OR QUOTE?
"I know it's lame but, 'If dogs don't go to heaven, when I die, I want to go where they go' for Mark Twain. I adore animals, especially my dog. His name is Todd and he's amazing at life."
THAT WAS FUN. TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR PARENTS.
"My mom's name is Renee Smith, formerly Faraday. She works as a hairdresser at a little boutique back in Dallas. She's pretty sucessful and she does my hair almost everyday. I love having her do my hair. My mom is practically my best friend, I can tell her anything. My dad, on the other hand, left our family when I turned eleven. It was devestating for my mother and I, but we are slowly recovering from it. My mom finally decided that she was better off witout him. His name was Henry and he wasa good guy, but he wasn't right for a family. He didn't want to responsibility of a kid and he decided that before I turned twelve. I think it's a stupid move to make when your kid is growing up, but my mom and I are stronger now."
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
"I'm actually an only child. It's not too bad and it has it's ups and downs."
TELL ME ABOUT A REALLY GOOD TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
"The day I got my first callback for Mackenzie Falls was the best moment for me. I was so excited and I was actually out with some of my friends at the local ice cream place. My cell phone rang and the number was unknown, so I swallowed my chocolate ice cream and answered. The moment the man on the other end of the line said that I was being called back for a role, I slammed on the table and my ice cream fell in my lap. It was hilarious. Embarassing, but undeniably the best day of my life so far."
THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. WHAT ABOUT A NOT-SO-GOOD TIME ON YOUR LIFE?
"The day that my father finally decided to leave was the worst day of my life, by far. I was crying and screaming in my room begging him not to go. He obviously wouldn't listen to the pleeding of a child and he just walked out the door after kissing my forhead. It wasn't a comforting kiss at all. I just sat there teary-eyed on my bed staring out the window, not believing that he actually left."
OH DEAR. I THINK THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER NOW. HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU LOOK ALIKE LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT? COS YOU REALLY DO. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
"Oh, thank you! I guess I do look a little bit like her. And you're welcome, this was a fun interview."

She giggled nervously, brushing back her long hair.Life was just a slap in the face for poor little Jocelyn Ramierez. She lived like she was supposed to, but she received nothing in return for continuing to thrive each day. She guessed that was what she got for becoming immortal and prolonging her life, but she hoped that everyone knew that it wasn't her choice. She never wanted to remain in a sixteen year old body forever as her mind aged and she lived as long as no one burned her at the stake. Of course, vampires weren't executed like witches during the Salem Witch Trials that Jocelyn used to learn about in history, but she imagined that dying in this state would end up being a lot like that. It made her shiver a little thinking about her eminent doom if someone found her out.
She tugged on the bottom of her white blouse, not happy that she wore it out into the forest. White?! Jocelyn thought to herself, Are you kidding me?! The decision to wear a white shirt out into the wilderness was beyond Jocelyn's belief. She wasn't sure why she did half the things she ever does in the first place. She didn't know why she continued to walk into the forest and she didn't know why she even continued to survive like she was. She saw herself as a monster that didn't deserve to live by any means. Why did Klaus have to change her into a vampire? Why did the overwhelming thirst have to hit her right now? The forest, she felt, was teeming with animals and not humans. It was lucky for her that no one seemed to be taking a hike today.
The most beautiful willow tree shook it's long, droopy branches in the wind in front of Jocelyn. She watched, mesmerized by the way that it stood there so strongly, but had the limbs as strong as butterfly wings. It was strong, but delicate, much like Jocelyn herself. She felt pity for the tree in a way. It was probably growing older and older and no one knew about it. Jocelyn sighed as she looked closely, observing every aspect of the tree.
She noticed the figure of a person, and telling by the non-existent smell of blood, she knew it was a vampire. Whoever it was that sat on the opposite side of the tree had curly hair that spilled almost over his ear. Jocelyn instantly knew who it was by the broadness of his shoulders and the nice purple sweater her wore. It was Nick Saracino.
Her body tensed up as she slowly made her way through the long limbs of the willow tree. She fit nicely under its branches, as if they were hugging her for being the same as it was. She stopped right behind Nick and hesitated when she placed her hand on his shoulder. She felt her cold skin collide with his slightly warm sweater. She gulped and sat beside him, hoping things would be too awkward or frightening. Jocelyn was always scared of losing him like she could possibly lose Joe. "Hey," Jocelyn greeted in nearly a whisper. Her voice didn't seem to have the strength to greet him or maybe she didn't want to mess with the sounds of nature around them. Either way, she whispered her greeting. "Fancy finding you here."
